Like the subsequent shocked faces, we were greeted with literally an empty space, especially how Simply Bread's interior has been always been kept to the bare minimum. Where's the usual sight of the overflowing bread and bakes on the countertop and the smell of their famous sticky cinnamon buns?! 'SORRY FOR THE...' Ok, their main kitchen is down this period. Only drinks were avail and oh we could do you some eggs they said. Hmmm could we then buy some bread from outside over? Just for this special one time whispered the staff ;-) We ended up having the whole place to ourselves, perfect for our major catch up sesh with nothing or no one interrupting or rushing us except our own respective evening plans. As Victoria who's much better at words puts it 'When the coffee runs dry but the conversations don't'.
